Storehouse

We have just unboxed issue 18 of Storehouse, the 10th anniversary copy and my last edition of the magazine as Editor-in-Chief.

I am immensely proud of this edition of the magazine and I can’t believe it’s finally here. I don’t want to say goodbye to Storehouse but this edition of the magazine is the most beautiful sendoff so I couldn’t be more proud.

We were adventurous from the start with issue 18, deciding early on that we were going to venture out and create a flip magazine, with two sides for students to choose from for submissions – Light and Dark. We pulled it off and the printed mag is so dreamy, from a design perspective as well as a content perspective. The breadth of work in the magazine is wonderful and it really is a showcase of student talent. I’m so happy with it.

Storehouse has done wonders for my confidence, introducing me to being a leader and doing more behind-the-scenes admin tasks than I ever thought possible, and I have loved every minute of it. Every day has has been touched Storehouse for me, from directing team meetings to liaising with individuals both internal and external to the university. I will be able to take issue 18 of Storehouse with me to every interview in my foreseeable future now, and it is a beautiful collation of work to show.

In a couple of days we launch the magazine, and from then my website will feature professional images of the magazine left, right and centre. Be prepared!

I’m going to wrap this up and stop gushing now. I’m a happy gal!
